Neuroscience is the study of the nervous system. So obviously all neuroscientists and neurologists do is study the nervous system.Absolutely not. They do much much much more than just that! A neuroscientist is a researcher who studies the all the functions and structures of the brain and nervous system. They mostly focus on the brain. Neroscientists are very important. They help paint a picture for people that don't understand or have brain problems. They give more effective treatments for different kinds of disorders. A neurologist is a medical doctor who finds treatments and diagnosis for nervous system disorders such as strokes, migraines, seizures, etc. They help people who are having trouble with their senses. They need about 8 years of educational background, 4 years of medical school, 1 year internship and 3 years of specialized training. Neurosurgeons are surgeons who preform surgery in/on the brain and the spinal cord. When a patient sees a neurologist and the patient needs surgery, the neurologist does not do the surgery. Instead the neurologist assists or monitors the surgery. That is the neurosurgeons job!!!!!!!!!
